US Vice President, Kamala Harris’ visit to Africa follows those recently made by President Biden and Secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen. It emphasises the closer relationship sought by the US administration with Africa, building on a foundation of trade and investment. International Economics Consulting Ltd’s CEO, Paul Baker gave an interview on Africanews sharing insights on the geopolitical and economic objectives of the new partnership between the US and African nations, amidst the heightened importance of Africa in international politics due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
