About Andras
Andras is an experienced Trade Negotiator, Researcher and Consultant providing TRTA (Trade Related Technical Assistance) to developing and transitional economy countries.
Andras has held leading roles as Senior Adviser on trade policy, trade negotiations and international trade and investment law for Governments, businesses and Multilateral Donor funded projects in more than 50 countries, including as Head of Hungary’s Permanent Mission to the WTO; Senior Expert at the OECD and the Energy Charter, Senior Expert for the Vietnamese Government in multiple roles, including in the implementation of the ASEAN Comprehensive Investment Agreement (ACIA), and the implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement; advisor to the Government of Vanuatu to prepare WTO membership and design post-WTO accession; and senior expert implementing technical assistance trade projects for the European Union in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Mauritius, Malawi, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Botswana, Mozambique, Seychelles, Tunisia and Zambia, among others.
He is on the WTO Indicative List of Governmental and Non-Governmental dispute settlement Panellists as an expert on trade in goods and trade in services.
Andras graduated with a MSc in Economics with specialisation in International Trade from Corvinus University, Budapest, Hungary.
