EU-Vietnam Trade Updates – August 2024

The European Union – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) was signed on 30 June 2019 and entered into force on 1 August 2020. This August 2024 marks the fourth anniversary of the EVFTA. The EVFTA benefits businesses by eliminating 99% of all tariffs, with the remaining 1% liberalised through zero-duty quotas. The Agreement also provides stronger protection for intellectual property rights, including geographical indications of both parties, and opens up services and public procurement markets.

International Economics’ latest EU-Vietnam Trade Updates provides detailed insights into bilateral relations, trade in goods and services, investment, and the opportunities arising from this bilateral trade partnership.
